Warrant Group is celebrating after becoming a finalist in the prestigious Global Freight Awards 2017.
The company has once again been short-listed for the Supply Chain Partnership Award for its work with nation-wide discount retailer B&M to meet the business' fast-moving supply chain requirements and its ambitious growth aspirations.
Using smart technology and a customer-centric, collaborative approach, Warrant Group worked closely with B&M and its ecosystem of forwarders to create a single supply chain solution for its complex supply chain operations using Warrant Group's bespoke technology platform, the Ingot Portal.
Implementing the 'data pipeline' approach provides true 'end-to-end' visibility; a single data feed to B&M amalgamates accurate Purchase Order information, live shipment data and delivery information at the appropriate supply chain milestones regardless of the service provider.
Accurate information on stock availability dates, especially useful for in-demand products, as well as early access to documents that were traditionally stored in emails or fragmented over multiple locations has removed manual processes, unnecessary excel spreadsheets and created efficiencies and drastically reduced time-consuming activities for all parties involved.
B&M's supplier base are connected to the portal while tracking shipment data from multiple carriers has been amalgamated into a central web based solution which has freed up time and allowed a more frictionless process to be implemented.
Warrant Group's Ingot Portal is a bespoke product developed in-house and has been recognized by HMRC and One Government at the Border as a 'game changer' due to its ability to provide advanced, accurate data.
The winner of the Supply Chain Partnership Award will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony on November 16th at the Lancaster London Hotel.
Managing Director Ian Jones, said he was thrilled to be a finalist.
"We are extremely pleased to be short-listed once again in the Global Freight Awards which is testament to the hard work of the entire team here at Warrant Group.
"We have worked closely with our colleagues at B&M to create a supply chain visibility portal across their entire product portfolio which delivers a wide range of operational and efficiency benefits.
"The solution shows a customer centric approach and a willingness to collaborate with others on operations which have traditionally worked in isolation.
"Applying a smart technology solution at the top layer allows a mutually beneficial supply chain to work efficiently for all participants with a strong emphasis on a digital first approach.
"The whole team here at Warrant Group is keeping its fingers crossed for November 16th."
B&M is one of the UK's fastest growing variety retailers. From its first store in Blackpool, Lancashire, it has grown to more than 500 stores across the UK and Ireland and employs more than 22,500 members of staff.
