International Trade & Logistics apprentice Megan Barkwitch joined Warrant Group a year ago. She talks about her experiences so far.
Can you describe your role and highlight what you enjoy most about it?
I joined Warrant Group as an apprentice in International Trade & Logistics Operations in March 2017 and since then I have learned many things about how the shipping sector operates and what customers require. My role involves working closely with a variety of retailers and liaising with our overseas partners.
My apprenticeship finishes this month and Warrant Group has offered me a full time position. I'm excited to see what my career brings and learning more about the industry.
What have been the major developments/key issues in your field during recent years?
As I'm still fairly new to the industry, I'm learning lots of new and interesting things. I've had a lot of support from the team here at Warrant Group which has been great.
Besides a successful career in global logistics, what was your dream job when you were a child?
I've had many dream jobs including being a hairdresser, forensic scientist and a dentist.
Name three things you can't live without
Food, phone and my bed
