Warrant Group shortlisted in 2017 Mersey Maritime Industry Awards

Warrant Group is thrilled to have been shortlisted in the 2017 Mersey Maritime Industry Awards - after taking home a winning title last year.

The team was crowned Freight & Logistics Award winner in 2016 and this year they are among the contenders for the Innovation Award, which will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony on March 9th 2017.

The prestigious event celebrates the best in the maritime industry, recognising the excellence and diversity within all sectors.

Ian Jones, Managing Director at Warrant Group, said: "We're thrilled to have been shortlisted for the innovation category in this year's Mersey Maritime Industry Awards.

"Winning it would be testament to the hard work and innovative thinking of our staff as well as the investment that we as a company have made. We're looking forward to a great awards night!"

Chris Shirling-Rooke, Chief Executive, Mersey Maritime, said: "The number and quality of entries for the 2017 MMIAs has risen for the third consecutive year, which will make for an exciting awards evening when the winners are announced on 9th March.

"The response from companies operating in the maritime and related industries here in the UK's North West proves without doubt that 'Liverpool is back'- the theme we have chosen for this year's awards."

Mersey Maritime is the representative body for the maritime sector and related industry sectors operating across the UK's Liverpool City Region, bringing together over 1250 businesses whose activities contribute some £3.47bn - or 13 per cent - to the region's GDP.
